Wave Arts Master Restoration Suite

The Wave Arts Master Restoration Suite is a comprehensive set of plug-ins for cleaning up tape, vinyl, and acoustic recordings. The tools give extremely high quality results with minimal tweaking, hence they sound great and are easy to use. The Wave Arts Master Restoration Suite consists of 5 plug-ins for Noise, Click, Hum, Gate, and the Master Restoration all-in-one.

Noise is a sophisticated broadband noise reduction processor, giving you great sound with minimal artifacts.  It's very easy to use, and the low latency (under 20 msec) noise reduction can be used in live situations.  The fast noise floor learning time (down to 50 msec), means noise looping is not required.  Noise's auto dynamics mode keeps transients sharp while avoiding squirrelly artifacts, and there's a monitor feature to hear removed noise.  The comprehensive display shows spectrum of input signal, output signal and noise floor, and your parameters can be edited as function of frequency.


Click combines click and crackle filtering for cleanup of phonograph recordings or other contamination.  Separate algorithms optimize removing clicks/pops and crackles/scratches.   The sophisticated detection algorithms for clicks and crackle focus processing on contaminating events, while onset detection allows crackle processing to bypass onset events, keeping attacks bright.  The monitoring feature allows hearing eliminated clicks and crackle, and a comprehensive stereo display of signal level, clicks, crackle, and onset events lets you monitor the process from start to finish.


Hum combines hum removal, buzz removal, brickwall filtering, and spectrum analysis into one easy to use plug-in.  You can remove hum using from 1 to 10 harmonic notch filters, and eliminate buzz for frequencies from 20 Hz to 200 Hz.  The on-screen high resolution spectrum analysis display lets you see what you're doing.  Hum also has adjustable frequencies and notch widths, and brickwall filtering for rumble and hiss removal. All sections can be monitored to hear removed signal.


Gate is a full featured expander/gate that can be used to gate noise during quiet sections.  Gate has adjustable lookahead, comprehensive metering, and a dynamic display that shows your recent history of input and gain levels.  And of course, the monitor allows you to hear the gated signal.


Topping it all off is the all-in one Master Restoration.  Master Restoration  combines the functions of Hum, Click, Noise, and Gate into one convenient restoration plug-in. Master Restoration is only available as part of the Master Restoration Suiteand has all the features of the individual plug-ins, plus a few extras:
-Presets for each section are automatically shared with individual plug-ins.
-Monitor option allows you to hear a mix of the removed signal from multiple sections.
-Display can be switched between sections.
