SurCode for Dolby E Encoder plug-in encodes Dolby E files from discrete PCM in a convenient plug-in format. SurCode for Dolby E Encoder is the perfect way to integrate Dolby E into existing workflows on different audio workstations, in different studios and in various formats.
SurCode for Dolby E Encoder plug-in seamlessly integrates with your workstation using the current session information, while the AudioTools and standalone version offload and automate the workflow from your DAW.
Unlike other codecs, Dolby E has been specifically designed as the perfect format for multiple encode/decode cycles. Minnetonka Audio’s SurCode for Dolby E Encoder provides encoding of up to eight channels of audio, with a variety of user selectable program configurations. These range from 5.1 and stereo to four independent stereo or eight mono channels. This includes full input of Dolby E and program metadata, all via a simple user interface.
The SurCode for Dolby E Encoder, when matched with the SurCode for Dolby E Decoder, creates the ultimate, file–based Dolby E workflow. VST, RTAS, AudioSuite and stand–alone versions are included with your license.
SurCode for Dolby E Encoder and Pro Tools:
Renting or purchasing a hardware encoder just to transform your audio into Dolby E files is costly and inefficient. The Dolby E encoder plug-in appears in the ”AudioSuite” menu with all other AudioSuite plug-ins and will encode your audio in sync with the Pro Tools timeline. It’s as simple as selecting a file or part of a file in Pro Tools, going to the ”AudioSuite” menu and select the encoder. Enter your metadata, hit encode, and watch the progress meter.
